Mr. Guardian Angel

I was asleep at the wheel
when some thing woke me up
I swerved just in time
and called it my good luck
Mr. Guardian angel
look over my shoulder please
my luck is running out,
please look out for me.

I was laying down one night
thought I felt something strange
I thought I heard
a lonesome wind call my name
Mr. Guardian angel
look over my shoulder please
my luck is running out,
please look out for me.

I don't' need an angel
to look after me
the way my luck is goin'
think I need two or three
Mr. Guardian angel
look over my shoulder please?
my luck is running out,
please look out for me.

Boogie Child

Now when I was a little bitty boy,
about the age of nine.
I came home one day.
I heard a mighty rumblin',
deep down in the ground.
I went deep down in the basement,
There was some friends of mines down there.
They had a raggedy old drumset,
and a beat up ol' guitar.
They were doin' the boogie,
in the middle of the floor.
It was a Boogie like to blow my mind.
I knew right then,
knew right then,
I was born to be nothin', nothin' nothin' ,
but a Boogie child.

I went down town
lookin' to boogie,
There was a place down there
I knew it  was off limits.
Off limits and out a site.
They were doin the Boogie down there,
doin' the Boogie from sun to sun,
Doin' the Boogie and havin a lot of fun.
I knew then I was hooked,
hooked on the Boogie.
I knew a was a real Boogie child.

My mother couldn't change me,
so don't you try.
My father tried to change me,
and that was one big fight.
I never could hold a day job.
Never could  call no one boss.
Playin' the Blues and Boogie,
that's all I know.
Now, I may grow old
and I may get gray.
But I'll never be too old to Boogie.
'Cause deep down in my soul,
I was born to be nothin', nothin', nothin',
but a Boogie Child.

Tumblin' Tumbleweed

Astrologer told me,
before I was born,
all the stars lined up,
always be searchin for a home,
gonna wander this ol' world,
always doomed to roam,
gonna be a tumblin' tumbleweed,
gonna be a rollin' stone,
Yes I'm rollin' and tumblin',
a rollin' tumblin' tumbleweed,
seems like four wheels and some highway,
is all in the world I need.

Now I search this world over,
searched it high and low,
lookin' for a place to hang my hat,
a place I could call my home,
I ain't got no money,
can't even get a loan,
can't get a part time job,
the highway is my home,
Yes I'm rollin' and tumblin',
a rollin' tumblin' tumbleweed,
seems like four wheels and some highway,
is all in the world I need.

I'm gonna burn me a stick of incense,
burn it for all the lost souls,
that ever rambled this ol' highway ,
searching for a home,
now if I should die people,
before I get to be an old man,
I want you to burn my body,
spread the ashes over Japan,
Yes I'm rollin' and tumblin',
a rollin' tumblin' tumbleweed,
seems like four wheels and some highway,
is all in the world I need.

Golden Skin Woman

Girl that I love,
got brown eyes and  golden skin,
Girl that I love,
got brown eyes and  golden skin,
I keep on wonderin'
when I'll see her pretty face again.

I love a golden skin woman
she come from way 'cross the sea,
I love a golden skin woman
she come from way 'cross the sea,
She's a fine-framed filly,
a fine little Japanese.

Good things come in small packages,
best things in life are free,
I'm cryin' and prayin',
bring my golden skin woman to me
Girl that I love,
got brown eyes and  golden skin,
I keep knockin' at her door,
but she's afraid to let me in.

I know someday
that we'll surely be one
we'll kiss and  carry on
under the noonday sun
golden skin woman
I'll wait for you all my life
I know someday
I'm gonna make you my wife

Pebble in the Sky

I'm sittin here 93 million miles from nowhere
on this third stone from the sun,
I'm sittin here 93 million miles from nowhere
on this third stone from the sun.
When my woman left me
that's when my  lonesomeness begun

This pebble in the sky,
has lost its charm to me.
This pebble in the sky,
has lost its charm to me.
Since my baby been gone,
feel other worlds callin' me.

I want to leave here
make some lonesome asteroid my home.
but misery loves company
I just can't go it alone.
This pebble in the sky,
has lost its charm to me.
Since my baby been gone,
feel other worlds callin' me.
